Product repairs
Assistive Technology service exists to provide a fast, reliable and cost-effective repair service for electronic aids for people with disabilities. We strive to quickly alleviate customer distress by providing expert specialist skills to solve their problems.
Service
We have a well equipped electronics workshop and stocks of the imported components needed to service the specialist devices used by people with disabilities.
Warranty
- All new products are warranteed for one year from the date of issue (see date on silver sticker on device). The warranty covers both parts and labour involved in the repair.
Products outside warranty
- Products outside warranty can be repaired in our workshop. Once fixed they will attract a fresh three month warranty period against the specific initial fault.
Time frame
- Our usual time for service that does not involve importing spare parts from overseas is approximately two weeks.
- We maintain a wide range of spares, but if we need to obtain spares from overseas this may add up to an extra four weeks.
- All interstate deliveries from our workshop are sent by overnight air freight.
Three steps if your device needs service:
- 1. Phone one of our staff to discuss the problem and determine if it is necessary to return the device to NovitaTech. If it must be returned, we will give you a return authorisation number. This is the number we use to track the progress of a job through our system, and devices which arrive with no Return Authorisation number run the risk of being mislaid.
- 2. Fill out a Request for service form (PDF - 33Kb) Alternatively you can write a letter setting out the following:
- return authorisation number
- list of all items returned
- details of the fault you want to be fixed
- name and return postal address (Post Offices and P.O. boxes can not be used for any computerised equipment)
- name and phone number of a contact person to discuss the repair, if needed
- The name and address of the person who will accept the account;
- please indicate whether a quote is required prior to repair work commencing.
- 3. Send the device with the request for service form, well protected by packaging to:
